 Located about 3 km from Kuantan along the way to Teluk Cempedak, is a beautiful park called Gelora Park. Various sport activities can be carried out here including jogging, aerobic dance, tennis, beach volleyball and etc. You can admire lotus flowers here too.

Here we go, 

This is a park that I always have a visited when I need to clear my mind on something because of some problem. I’m enjoying the beautifulness of the beach with a fresh air. It is near to International College of Ikip & First Battalion Camp.

Don’t worry much because the way you get there will be led by the signboard along the journey. It is a place that easy to find. Basically in Kuantan this a famous place to hang out after Teluk Cempedak.

Taman Gelora is a recreation park that being provide by the state of Kuantan and being cared by Majlis Perbandaran Kuantan as a placed that will attract the tourist and the local. There is a First Battalion Camp that being decorated by two “kereta kebal” in front of Taman Gelora.

 It is a nice places to take a picture without having a lot difficulties to go to somewhere else to take a picture with tank (kereta kebal)

Teluk Cempedak

Hai the readers, how’s your day? Let have some reading on my entry. I will entertain you guys with a few things that interesting here at Teluk Cempedak.

"Serene and delightful"

That is the best word to describe Teluk Cempedak as one of the beach that people must come and have a visit when in Kuantan. It is located 5 kilometres east from the town centre in Kuantan and is situated in close to the Royal Pahang Golf Club. People are mostly will fall in love with the white sandy of the beach and the beautiful casuarinas of pine trees line the coast. Along the beach, we can also see some rocky headline facing an eternal waves of the South China Sea with a breeze that you will never forget the feel of it even when you are going back to your place. All of those characteristic combined to make the beach serene and at the same time delightful.

The boats of the fishermen at sea can be seen during the day and at night for the visitors. There also a strategic places that easy for the visitor to make a move to the other location in Kuantan because basically the places is near to the Telok Cempedak beach such as Tanjung Api and Beserah. There is only about 5 kilometres (3.1 miles) away on either side of Teluk Chempedak.

Teluk Chempedak is a completely a beach getaway that can get rather busy on weekends as it is the most popular amongst local and vice versa.
As for me, i like to hang out at seaside while having a chat because it let us become peace and calm. this is the place that must i come every week because i am the one who love nature and i love Teluk Cempedak.

Taman Bandar Kuantan

Hi, see you guys again.

Today feel like want to have a walk and jogging because I eat a lot of food yesterday. I need to have an exercise if not I will get chubby. Oh my god, that shouldn’t be happen. NO.

The place that I choose to have a recreation today is Taman Bandar Kuantan. It is a very peaceful place to have a walk or jogged while enjoying the nature. It has a 3 hectares lake with KDN building and mini jetty for a boat ride.

It is located around Indera Mahkota 5. Basically people well know the placed as Taman Bandar but actually the name of the place is Taman Jubli Perak Sultan Ahmad Shah. It is a recreation places that being a favourite and a focus instead of Taman Gelora. This place is more preferable because the place is strategic compare to Taman Gelora that located along the foreshore of Laut China Selatan while Taman Bandar is only located near to Kuantan City. It only takes 10 minutes to get there by the car from the City.

There are also important places that is suitable to call as a landmark too around it such as Stadium Sukan Pahang (SUKPA), university Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (UIAM) campus Kuantan, Kementerian Dalam Negeri (KDN), Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja (KWSP) and Lembaga Perlesenan dan Pendaftaran Minyak Sawit (PORLA).

Beside the Taman Bandar there is also abandoned wood ball court that is still in a good condition but being abandoned by people around there.

The court nowadays has been replace Petanque side that public can freely enjoy playing Petanque there. The Taman has at least 3 hectare of lake that being surrounding by jogging track with many equipment and facilities for the visitors to enjoy their exercise.

This place being an attraction for a family to bring their family to enjoy jogging and brisk walking. There is also a few event that conducted here by the government that involved teenagers. The reason they conducted the event there because the places is suitable for teenagers, spacious and it also have a lot of parking lot.

Tapak Perkelahan Pasir Kubur

Hai readers,

Activity for today that I choose is picnic at picnic site of Pasir Kubur. People around Sungai Lembing are calling this place as Sungai Jin. I don’t know why but they are calling the place with that name. Maybe it just a name that easy for them to called (just an assumption).

The picnic site is located about 40km away from Kuantan City. The Picnic Site is hiding in the forest and it surrounded by tall trees, with peaceful environment and fresh air. So driving is the best option to the there. The road to enter to the place is not that easy because we need to pass a bridge (a car can also pass it) and we need to pass a Malay village. The road is quite small but still comfortable to the users to pass with their car. Although it is comfortable, users still need to be careful and avoid from hit villagers cow and so on. The key is we need a patience to get reach there.

After we arrived, there is no one there because it is still early in the morning and we just use the time to enjoy the beautiful nature scenery there. Here is it.

It is really nice to enjoy breathing with a very fresh air while I am enjoying a beautiful scenery of this place. Let’s build a tent because we need a place for changing outfit and so on. For you all information, there is no toilet that I found here. So please if you want to come here. I advised you all to bring a tent. It is safer than changing in the car right.

The tent is done. Let’s enjoy the coolness of the water. This river is full of a big and small stone and it quite hard for us to walk there but it is not a reason for us to not enjoy the moment there. This is the place that not many people know because it is not a place that a government of the state trying to promote and commercialize to the world. Maybe it is because this place is too far and not easy to find but there are still a lot of people coming to this place with their family especially in the weekend. I really hope that this place will be well know because I love this place very much. This is the place that I will come for every week.

Sungai Lembing

Come and have a visit. Before that, let I introduced to you guys first what kind of places is Sungai Lembing. Open your eyes widely and enjoy this entry.

Sungai Lembing town was build more than 100 years and it has a small museum showcasing the tin mining industry in the early 1900s. Sg Lembing used to be a busy mining town. Now everything is just so quiet in the town. I would recommend to start here first before exploring the small town. In the centre of town and try the local cuisine. Time stood still here and remnants of pre-war shop houses still visible. There are many colonial villas for rent and one night stay is sufficient.

Highlight of Sg Lembing is the tin mining cave tour. Entrance fee is RM15 per adult, you will get an 80 meter mini "locomotive" ride which was nice entering the cave. Then you can walk another 500m to explore. Air inside was cooling and there is a guide for your disposal. You will get useful facts only when you ask questions. The tour lasted approx. 30-40 minutes.

 If you are the one that really interested with history, I recommend you to have a visit to Muzium Sungai Lembing because in there you can get many information about the history of Sungai Lembing

The Sungai Lembing Museum was built to re-live the glorious days of Sungai Lembing as Pahang’s richest manufacturer of tin. Once, this city was even dubbed the Malay States’ very own El-Dorado as it was here that a special settlement for British officers was located. Beginning in 1984, though, all that prosperity and riches gradually dwindled as a result of tin’s price drop.The uniqueness of this museum lies in the fact that it is situated in what used to be a residency of a mine officer. The residency itself still retains its British architecture features.

The tin mine in Sungai Lembing is the deepest and longest underground mine in the world. It was once commercialized on a big scale and enriched the nation’s economy, making Sungai Lembing renowned throughout the world. The Sungai Lembing Tin Museum displays various collections of mining paraphernalia’s used in underground mining. Interesting items include a drilling machine, railway track, safety helmet and furniture’s belonging to the tin mine manager’s office.Visiting Hours to the museum is from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m and the entrance Fee is depend to the types of visitor,

Air Terjun Sungai Pandan

Hai dear readers, Are you feeling hot and want a place to chill? Thinking of heading to the beach? Let’s go to Sungai Pandan Waterfall for a cool splash! Accompany me please. Let me your guide. Come on guys. Let’s go to the refreshing and coolness of the water.

Sungai Pandan Waterfall is located about 25km away from Kuantan City. The waterfall is hiding in the forest and it surrounded by tall trees, with peaceful environment and fresh air. So driving is the best option to the waterfall.

Since the place is managed by a private company we have to pay RM 2 per adult and RM 1 per child for entry. There are not too much activity provided there because Sungai Pandan is exist to just be a recreation place for a family to enjoy their valuable time while enjoy the nature. There are limited activities to enjoy on but you will still can create something with the one that you love. So this is the list of activities that available here in Sungai Pandan.

v  Let the children swim, splash and have fun in the sand and the cool waters at the lower ends

v  Adults can just wade and take a cool dip at the waterfalls area further up

The facilities that being provided by the place is a big parking lot are available for a visitor. If you are park your car outside the place there is no charges but if you are park it inside the land you will charges a money per entry. I can’t remember how much it is so sorry guys. Even though during a weekends or holiday, the parking lot may not be adequate.

Other than that, the facilities that being provided to a visitors is a small “surau” for a Muslim to pray located near to the lower part of the waterfall. There are also a basic facilities provided there such as changing rooms and toilet for a male and female visitors available. There is also a small gift and souvenir shop and some small stalls selling snacks and drinks. So no need to worry if you are not bringing any food you can just buy something there.

Rainbow Waterfall

Hai and long-time no see. Do you guys miss me? Just a bit or a lot because the truth is I miss you guys a lot. Want to continue my travel in Kuantan. So what and where is the lucky places that I choose for today? Want to know? Can I start it now? Let’s go guys. Have a read till the end.

As we are in Sungai Lembing to enjoy Time Capsule retreat. Why don’t we jump into the opportunity to have an experience going to Rainbow Waterfall or in Bahasa we called it as Air Terjun Pelangi.

The famous Rainbow Fall (Air Terjun Pelangi) can be reached from Sg Lembing. It is one of one attraction that people never forget to take an opportunity to have a visit.

Transport to the fall can be arranged in the town, you need a 4WD if you want to go on your own. The price offered for 4WD service is between RM40 per person. A guide is useful, although not really needed. You have to start early, as the famous rainbow can only be seen in the morning. It is a one hour drive from the town to the trail head and followed by about 45 minutes of easy trekking to the fall.

After about 20 km you reach the end of the road, where the trail starts with a river crossing. The trail will brings you in about 45 to the waterfall. The waterfall itself is not picture square, unless after heavy rainfall. It is a tall fall, and under normal conditions the water comes down as a spray. It is this spray which results in the famous rainbow, but only when the sun is still low. When the sun breaks through the clouds.

Do you feel tired exploring the town of Kuantan? Want to have a rest with a peaceful environment? I will highly recommend Sungai Lembing to whoever who needs a quiet getaway from the city. This is the placed that you will managed to get enough rest while doing various activities and release yourself from a stressful town. 

Welcome to Time Capsule Retreat

Time Capsule Retreat is my suggestion to you guys to stay on when you are at Sungai Lembing. It is one of the private land that provided you a peaceful nature surrounding of places to stay. My advice is to book it earlier if you would like to stay there because it is rather popular and trending place nowadays especially in the weekend.  The owner of the places is a Chinese woman named Mrs Yang. They also provides a package of BBQ dinner only on Saturday night. It also need an early requirement because students around Kuantan like to have an events there so make sure you let her know earlier. If you missed out on the BBQ dinner don't mind going back there again or just let it be because at least being there can make you fell escape from the city.

There are types of cottage that Time Capsule provided to their customer. First of all let me introduce to you guys the white cottage. The white cottage comes with a double bed and private toilet. The other type of white cottage has two double beds.

The second types of cottage that being provided and one of the main attraction of the Place is a Capsule types of cottage. This is the unique part of this place that you cannot find it at other places. The strength of the uniqueness that the place possess the entire world is here there are. Let’s have a look.

It can be quite difficult for some people to stay in the capsule cottage because they need to share the shower and toilet with other guests. The cottage doesn’t provide a toilet inside the capsule. As you can see in the picture the capsule quite small and it doesn’t have extra space in the room. The room is using a glass door but comes with curtain that you don’t have to worry about your privacy but still need to be careful. Come have a visit this place and you will never back off.
